How to work with text in your sitebuilder

You can manage text material in our sitebuilder by using widgets for text paragraphs. In these you have buttons that you might recognize from the word processor and many other applications, for italic, numbered lists, etc. In this guide, we show you how to get started and we describe the various selections.

Guide

  1. If you don’t already have a paragraph of text to work with, start by indenting a paragraph widget. You can find it under ”Add Content”. Click, drag and drop it on the page where you want it. The place where you can put it will be marked with either a blue, thin line or, as in this example a blue piece. It’s only there that you can place your widget.

  2. A new text widget contains from start the classic sample text lorem ipsum that press setters have used for centuries. Click the text to bring up the text tool.

  3. The text editor has a number of different choices. We will explain these here one by one.

  • </>. For editing HTML-code. This is for the advanced user. In here you can change the so called HTML-code which is the result of some of the choices you make, like the bold lettering for instance. You can also add other code, with some limitations. Click on the button again to switch back to the normal editor.
  • STYLE. To change the style of the paragraph where you currently have the text cursor.
  • A+ and A-. To change the text size for the paragraph where you currently have the text cursor.
  • The next four icons are for alignment of the paragraph where you currently have the text cursor.
  • B, I and T. Bold, italic and strikethrough text. This applies to text that you currently have selected, or from choosing the style; Click again to return to normal text.
  • Bulleted or Numbered list. The easiest way is to write a couple of lines, select them, and then select the type of list. If you continue to write the list will be filled in. You do not need to write in numbers; the enumeration of the list occurs automatically.
  • Link. To create a link of text that you currently have selected.
  • Image. To insert an image. Also check out our guide on how to add text around an image.
  • A and A. To select the font color and background color for the text that you currently have selected.

When you are pleased, don’t forget to save your work! As always, select Preview or Publish to see the result.
